New Orleans Police detectives are interviewing a "person of interest" in the September 2 murder of 11-year-old Arabian Gayles who was fatally wounded in a shooting on General Ogden Street.
20-year-old Jordan Montrell was named as a person of interest Tuesday and the NOPD reports that he later was located by State Police. The NOPD indicated Montrell might have information about the case.
Gayles was fatally shot while sleeping in her home in the 1300 block of General Ogden. The shots were fired from outside the house. Her 11-year-old cousin and another man were wounded in the shooting.
No arrests have been made in the case.
