At least 7 parades in honor of either St. Patrick or St. Joseph are scheduled to roll this weekend in the New Orleans area.
Jim Monaghan's 32nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade kicks off the festivities tonight at 6:30pm in the French Quarter, starting at Molly's at the Market, 1107 Decatur Street.
On Saturday, the Irish Channel St. Patrick's Day Parade rolls at 1pm, starting at St. Mary's Assumption Church, 2030 Constance Street. The parade is preceded by a Mass at the church at noon.
Also on Saturday is the Italian-American Marching Club St. Joseph's Day parade. It starts at 6pm at Canal and Chartres Streets.
On Sunday, the Metairie St. Patrick's Day Parade starts at noon, rolling down Severn Avenue by Rummel High School, then turning onto Metairie Road.
Also on Sunday is the Olde Towne St. Patrick's Day parade, which starts at 1pm at Slidell City Hall and parades through Olde Towne.
The Downtown Irish Club will hold its annual St. Patrick's Day parade on Monday, starting at 6pm, at Burgundy and Piety Streets.
