Superdome General Manager Alan Freeman tells 99.5FM the food that will be served at Champions Square during Saints home games this season will be provided by an up-and-coming group of entrepreneurs.
"We plan on bringing in several food trucks, which seem to be a popular destination these days. So, all of our food service is going to be done out of food trucks," Freeman said.
Crews are also preparing to install a very large concert stage at the square.
"That process is taking a little bit longer than we thought it would, but hopefully that stage will be in place by the first of October. We've got a couple of concerts scheduled out there, so the stage needs to be in place by then," Freeman said.
Freeman says the usual preps for the football season are underway such as installing new turf for the football field, getting the concessions and merchandise business lined up and getting the event staff trained and ready to go.
"We are in full football mode," Freeman said.
